Just as when I thought our tomato plants were recovering from the initial fungal problem, they are now suffering from late blight. Oh poor tomatoes.... There is not much I can do at this point with all the rain we have been getting lately.
I think I'll just let them be for now and hope those several tomatoes that are hanging on there will show some shade of red, so I can at least save them for sauce.
I am not ready for fall yet...
Late blight - it makes me so sad. It hit the community gardens in late July and I discovered it in my plot 7/30. I've been desperately trying not to bring LB to my garden at home, where the plants are still clean.
ReplyDeleteIt really is so sad and it spreads so quickly. The remaining green tomatoes are dropping without turning red, so I think I'm going to put them to rest today.... Very disappointing!
